What it can’t do

  • Automated checks catch roughly a third to a half of real accessibility problems. Passing them does not make a site compliant.
  • It cannot judge whether alt text is meaningful, whether a page makes sense to a screen-reader user, or whether keyboard flows work end to end.
  • It cannot audit pages behind a login, and it reads a page once as loaded — content that appears after clicking is not checked.
  • It is not legal advice. If you have received a demand letter, talk to a lawyer and a human auditor.
